The pillars are complete. I used blocks to trim out the top and bottom of each, and also screwed and glued them into place through the countersinks I made in the top and bottom when I first started. They wont budge!
The trim on the back is out of maple and it really does a nice job of finishing it out. With the dado down the center, it wraps the endgrains nicely. Its a little intricate around the stairchoice, but well worth the effort.
Finally, Ive scrolled Rileys name into a peice of 1/4" solid oak, and have it glued into place. This feature really sets off the whole peice, and also personalizes it - this will be Rileys dollhouse forever!
I just have a little more trim to put into place, and then make the top, and this will be done in time for Christmas!!!
